New Airlines and Destination Offerings in the Summer Flight Schedule 2018
A wide range of new offerings await air travellers in the 2018 summer flight schedule at Vienna Airport. The newly represented low-cost carrier Wizz Air will inaugurate flight service to several destnations and at the same time set up a base in Vienna with three aircraft. In addition, Austrian Airlines is expanding frequencies on numerous routes and Eurowings is starting a number of seasonal flights to popular holiday regions. Also EVA Air, easyJet, Volotea, Vueling, Aegean Airlines, Norwegian, Aer Lingus, SunExpress, Nordica and Stobart Air/Flybe have new offerings. The summer flight schedule is valid from March 25 to October 28, 2018.
“The current year is developing in a very gratifying manner thanks to numerous new flight connections. In particular, growth impetus is being provided by the Lufthansa Group with Austrian Airlines and Eurowings as well as flight service to various destinations launched by Wizz Air, Volotea and other airlines in the low-cost sector. We expect an increase in passenger volume of up to 5% or more in the entire year 2018”, says Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Flughafen Wien AG, commenting on the gratifying growth of flight traffic at the airport.
